KARAKA LAKES

This newly constructed home in Karaka had a blank canvas when we arrived.

Our client wanted a garden layout that maximised the space and had defined areas that were easily maintained. The site presented a few challenges with a lack of drainage and a very heavy clay soil throughout.

The design focus was to look at ways of avoiding soil removal but still providing beneficial soil conditions for future plant growth. A successful outcome was achieved by using large raised beds that wrapped the lawn area. Drainage was installed and the lawn and remaining garden beds were raised with plenty of good quality garden and lawn mix.

The Final result is one that was well considered for the conditions and complimented the style and layout of the house.
