Real Turf
For all the purists out there it simply doesn’t get any better than kicking of the jandals and feeling the grass under your feet and theres nothing quite like the smell of freshly cut grass and the hum of the mower in summer! There’s a few ways you can create a new lawn, firstly there’s Grass seed, hydro-seed and then roll out turf.
Roll out turf gives you the look straight away and provides the fastest way to a fully usable lawn. If you don’t want to wait and you appreciate an even consistent head start, this is the option for you.
Hydro-seed is grass seed that is applied by a sprayer and is mixed with fertiliser, water and mulch which is faster and more effective than grass seed.
Grass seed is the cheap DIY solution and although it’s not ideal to watch the birds feasting on your seed it does have it’s uses and we commonly use it for smaller lawn repairs and top dressing into exisiting lawns.
The best way to ensure your lawns success is to make sure you’ve got a decent amount of good lawn mix (100mm minimum), the area is well drained and install an irrigation system to keep your lawn looking lush through summer!
